Mosaic Project Spotlight: The Adventurer
Published Nov. 5, 2024

Every week, the Pulse will highlight a story from the Mosaic project featuring one of the many people who make up the University of Vermont Health Network. These stories are an inspiring and fascinating display of the experiences that make up the vibrant mosaic of who we are. We hope that you enjoy them and that they deepen your appreciation for our wonderful community!

This week, we’re spotlighting the story of Haley Duquette, a hospice nurse case manager who’s been with UVMHN since 2018. In it, she talks about the challenges of climbing the tallest mountain in the world and how she overcame them. She also discusses her more recent explorations a bit closer to home, engaging in the practice of “slow birding”. It’s a thought-provoking and exciting read that proves adventuring is as much about your state of mind as the physical reality of what you’re doing. You can read Haley's story here.
