Every week, the Pulse will highlight a story from the Mosaic project featuring one of the many people who make up the University of Vermont Health Network. These stories are an inspiring and fascinating display of the experiences that make up the vibrant mosaic of who we are. We hope that you enjoy them and that they deepen your appreciation for our wonderful community!
This week, we’re spotlighting the story of Summer Collette, a surgical technologist who’s been with UVMHN for nearly two decades. In it she discusses how her years watching medical equipment become environmental waste lit a fire within her. She began to preserve materials that normally would have been thrown away. Eventually this led to a broader program to donate expired surgical supplies to those who need them. You can read Summer’s inspiring story here.
